Interest.com's weekly survey of major lenders, taken June 17, found the average interest rate for a:
30-year, fixed-rate loan fell to 5.76% from 5.95% the previous week. A year ago, it was 6.62%.
15-year, fixed-rate loan fell to 5.19% from 5.37% the previous week. A year ago, it was 6.20%.
30-year, jumbo loan (for mortgages exceeding $417,000 to $729,750, depending on the city) fell to 6.97% from 7.14% the previous week. A year ago, it was 7.71%. One-year, adjustable-rate loan fell to 5.10% from 5.16% the previous week. A year ago, it was 6.22%.
Five-year, adjustable-rate loan fell to 5.37% from 5.49% the previous week. A year ago, it was 6.24%.
